Overview:

Villages in parts of predominantly Christian southern Chad are routinely raided by militant Fulani Muslims. While the goal of these raids is primarily to steal land for cattle grazing, there is an element of persecution against Christians. Boko Haram is also responsible for violent extremist activity in the Lake Chad Basin.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for Akua Kwama and others who survived an Islamist attack in which 12 people were killed at a church.
  • Christian villages in the south are routinely raided by militant Fulani Muslims. Pray for protection and peace.
  • Only 24% of Chadians are Christians. Pray for their bold witness to Muslim neighbors.
  • Pray that followers of Christ will have greater access to discipleship materials.
  • Islamists attacked a church and killed its pastor in 2023. Pray that God will provide, comfort and protect a new pastor.
