Overview:

Because of tribal violence and the advance of radical Islam in Guinea, VOM is active in responding to persecution. Political instability in the country has contributed to the rise of radical Islam. However, the majority of persecution cases involve the rejection and harm of Christians by family members. More than 88% of Guineans are Muslims and 4% identify as Christians.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray that Christians who are persecuted by their families will draw near to Christ and experience his presence.
  • Pray that front-line workers will see many turn to Christ from among the 88% of Guineans who are Muslims.
  • Pray that Christians will have opportunities to grow in biblical understanding.
