Overview:

The predominantly Muslim northwest coast has become increasingly radicalized by groups from the Middle East. While Christians there are mostly recent converts with a need for discipleship and encouragement to proclaim the gospel, local churches and missionaries have experienced violent opposition from radical Muslims. In some cases, Christians have even been killed while trying to witness to Muslims.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for Christians in northwest Madagascar, where radical Islam is gaining influence.
  • Pray for the boldness and protection of Christians who witness to Muslims.
  • Pray for churches and families whose members have been killed for their witness to Muslims.
  • Pray that young Christians in northwest Madagascar will grow in discipleship and become bold witnesses.
  • Pray that Islamists will place their faith in Christ when they hear the gospel from local Christians.
